Why Data Matrix for Electronics?
A Data Matrix code is a 2D barcode that can be printed as small as 2-3 millimeters square. It has high data redundancy and error correction, meaning it can still be read even if partially damaged. This makes it perfect for marking part numbers, serial numbers, and other data directly onto PCBs and small components.
Step 1: Prepare Your Component Data
Create a CSV or Excel (`.xlsx`) file with the data you want to encode. This is typically a list of unique part or serial numbers. The first row must be the header, e.g., `PartNumber`.

Step 2: Design Your Data Matrix Label
Open the Bulk Barcode Generator and upload your file.
- Set Label Size: Define the small area for your label.
- Add Barcode: Add a barcode element and choose Data Matrix from the format list.
- Link Data: Link the barcode's value to your `PartNumber` column.
Step 3: Generate Your Labels
