What is GS1-128?

GS1-128 is a special implementation of the Code 128 barcode. It uses **Application Identifiers (AIs)** to define the type of data that follows. For example, the AI `(00)` indicates a Serial Shipping Container Code (SSCC), while `(01)` indicates a GTIN. This structure allows a single barcode to carry multiple types of information in a standardized way.

Step 1: Prepare Your Data with Application Identifiers

Your CSV or Excel file must contain a column with the complete data string, including the parentheses around the AIs. Our generator will automatically add the required FNC1 characters.
